Continuing our Bold Beginning series, following our successful Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday, we are pleased to share that 2023 alumnae, Aimee King and Eloise Taylor, have both joined Bedfordshire Police for an industrial placement year alongside their university studies.
During their placement year (2025/2026), Aimee and Eloise are gaining a broad experience of the different roles within a police force. As part of their induction, they have explored the diverse environments Bedfordshire Police oversee, including urban, rural and transport settings such as the airport, as well as specialist areas like the Firearms and Dog Units.
Aimee King, a Sociology student at the University of Bath, will be spending her year in the Victims Hub, while Eloise Taylor, a Criminology student at the University of Sheffield, will be based in the RASSO department, which oversees rape and serious sexual offences. Both alumnae will be contributing to day-to-day operations and assisting with various projects within their departments.
We wish Aimee and Eloise an informative and rewarding year ahead. Their achievements reflect the broad opportunities open to BGS alumnae, supported by the diverse experiences and comprehensive careers guidance offered in the Sixth Form.
