Sixth Form

We were delighted to host our annual Work The Room event on Wednesday evening (17th June), bringing our Lower Sixth students and wider school community together.

The event focused on the importance of building your network and forging meaningful connections as you begin your career journey.

Led by our Careers and Alumnae Offices, the two-part initiative involves our students attending a workshop where they discuss and learn the skills to network effectively. Following the workshop, the students put their new skills to good use, ‘working the room’, and aiming to talk to as many of the guests as possible.

A big thank you to our parent community and the following alumnae, from a diverse range of professional backgrounds, who helped support this event: Gabriella Asein (BGS 2021), Tricia Clegg (DAHS 1976), Sally Cornish (BHS 1977), Jane Leech (née McKendrick, BHS 1982), Sam Lock (DAHS 1991), Rebecca O’Reilly (BGS 2019), Alison Parrin (BHS 1994), Alice Pennington (BGS 2022), Ishani Patel (BGS 2023), Carolynne Roberts (DAHS 1971), Katharine Simpson (BGS 2020), and Emily Venn (DAHS 2011).

As always this event is a fantastic opportunity for our students to develop confidence, make connections and begin building the networks that will support them in their future careers.
