Sixth Form Business and Economics

By Lara Spajić (Lower Sixth)

On Thursday 14th May, the Lower Sixth Business and Economics students travelled into London and had the incredible opportunity to visit the headquarters of Google and S&P Global, where we gained valuable insight into the professional world and the wide range of careers available within global companies.

A particular highlight of the trip was being welcomed and guided by alumna, Hannah Leggott (BHS 1998), who has a wealth of experience across the Financial Services sector, having worked for a number of large City organisations. Hearing firsthand about Hannah’s journey from our classrooms to working in such a successful organisation was really interesting. Her advice, experiences, and honesty about university, careers, and personal growth gave us a realistic and motivating perspective on the opportunities ahead.

Throughout the visits, we were toured around the offices, introduced to different teams and working environments, and encouraged to ask questions about career pathways, innovation, and the skills needed in today’s industries. The experience was both insightful and memorable, leaving many of us feeling inspired about our own future ambitions.

We are extremely grateful to everyone involved in organising the trip and to our alumnae for taking the time to share their experiences and support current students.
