Bedford Girls’ School is proud of its excellent 2025 results across the IB Diploma Programme, A Levels and GCSE examinations.

Our Upper Sixth cohort have done exceptionally well with three quarters of grades being awarded A*-B (A Level and International Baccalaureate Diploma combined) and a 100% pass rate.

We are incredibly proud of our students, who have embraced the challenges of Sixth Form with dedication and determination. They have made the most of their final two years at BGS, excelling both in and out of the classroom. As they move forward, they leave us as capable, confident young adults, ready to embrace the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

Our IB cohort performed extremely well achieving an average score of 36 points (against a worldwide average of 30), with one student securing an outstanding 44 out of a possible 45.

Two thirds of all GCSE entries were awarded grades 9 to 7, with a quarter of entries achieving the top grade of a 9.

The school values all of the diverse journeys that our Sixth Form students choose to take with their qualifications. The rich and varied mix of further study courses is testament to this: English Language and Literature at Oxford; Neuroscience at Bristol; Engineering at Durham; PPE at Exeter; Mechatronics and Robotic Engineering at Birmingham; Natural Sciences at Durham; Medicine at Queen Mary; Pharmacology at Nottingham; Economics and Geography at Leeds; Business and Management at York; Architecture at Edinburgh; Computer Science at Warwick; Music at Nottingham and Performance Design at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama to name a few.
