Before the October half-term break, our senior dancers enjoyed an inspiring Ballroom and Latin Dance workshop with Leila Stewart.

Leila, a former British Latin Dance Champion who toured with the ‘Strictly’ dance crew from 2015 to 2019, brought fantastic energy and expertise to the session. Students were excited to learn not only new dance skills but also a complete piece of lively choreography.

Years 7-9 took on the upbeat Jive, dancing to a track from Hairspray, while Years 10-Upper Sixth learned the rhythmic and challenging steps of the Samba. Leila was impressed by the students’ enthusiasm, quick learning, and mature approach throughout.

It was wonderful to see their confidence and teamwork shine. I was, once again, very proud of their effort, energy and talent.
