Visiting Bedford Girls’ School

Bedford Girls’ School hosts regular Open Events, visits and Junior School taster sessions throughout the year. These opportunities are an important part of the admissions process, allowing families to spend time in the School, see our facilities and gain a sense of daily life at BGS. They also provide valuable opportunities to meet students, staff and the Head.

Visits, Tours and Taster Sessions

We would be delighted to welcome you and your family to Bedford Girls’ School for a private visit and tour, a meeting with the Head, or a Junior School taster session. These visits are designed to help you explore the School in more detail and support you in making an informed decision about your daughter’s education.

Visits and Tours

A personal visit offers the opportunity to tour the School and meet with a member of our senior staff, giving you time to ask questions and discuss your daughter’s individual interests and needs. We believe that spending time on site is an important way to understand our community and would encourage families to arrange a visit where possible.

For families who are relocating or unable to visit in person, we are happy to arrange a virtual meeting.

Junior School Taster Sessions

Our Junior School taster sessions give pupils the chance to spend time in the School, meet teachers and pupils, and experience lessons and activities. We recognise that moving schools is a significant decision and that it can be difficult for pupils to imagine themselves in a new environment. These sessions are designed to help pupils feel comfortable and familiar with life at BGS, supported throughout by our Junior School team.
