As a finale to our exploration of how Human choices impact the natural world, Year 3 brought their learning to life in a vibrant showcase of sustainability and enterprise on Wednesday.
Over the half term, the girls have worked collaboratively with the Lower Sixth Economics students, developing their understanding of food production, ecosystems, and sustainable choices. From analysing food miles to mastering kitchen skills using seasonal produce, their journey has been rich in both discovery and practical application.
The final event invited pupils and staff to engage with the girls’ stalls, where delicious, waste-free snacks were served alongside persuasive posters, ingredient costings, and bilingual labels. Visitors were treated not just to tasty samples, but to insightful conversations about the environmental impact of our everyday food choices.
It was a fantastic celebration of youth-led action, cross-year collaboration, and meaningful learning. The Year 3 girls have shown us what’s possible when creativity meets purpose and reminded us that even small choices can make a big difference to the world we share.
