Junior School Eco and Sustainability

By Mrs Whomsley (Eco Coordinator)

Our Junior School Eco Club once again took part in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch, an activity we look forward to every year. As well as supporting the important work of the RSPB, the girls loved spending time quietly observing wildlife in our school garden and noticing the variety of birds sharing our space.

We’re excited to compare this year’s results with data from previous years and to share our findings with the wider school community, helping everyone understand why these small moments of observation can make a big difference.

Next week, we are looking forward to welcoming our Senior School Sustainability Leadership Group, who will be visiting to inspire the wider Junior School community to look out for birds in our garden through a range of fun activities. This is another wonderful example of our pupils taking action, leading by example, and encouraging their friends to think more carefully about sustainability.
