On Friday 6th February, the U11 netball team travelled to Rugby School to compete in the IAPS netball tournament. Despite a very wet and challenging day, spirits remained high as 20 schools took part in a competitive and exciting event.
The team performed brilliantly in the group stages, winning three of their four matches to secure a place in the Cup competition. In the quarter-final, they faced Barrow Hill and produced some excellent netball, working well as a team to claim a confident 6–2 victory.
This win put them through to the semi-final against Kings Hawford School. After a hard-fought game, the team narrowly missed out on a place in the final, losing 3–6 despite a determined performance.
BGS finished an impressive 4th overall. The girls gained valuable experience, showed great resilience in difficult conditions, and played some fantastic netball throughout the day. A performance to be very proud of!
