Junior School

By Mrs Schofield (Head of Years 3 and 4)

On Thursday morning, our Year 3 children welcomed parents, family members and friends into the Junior School Library for a special shared reading session focused on values, resilience and achieving goals.

Our girls  proudly shared books with their visitors before coming together to enjoy Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty. This sparked thoughtful discussion about how important it is to be resilient when designing and making something new, and how failure is often a necessary step before discovering what works. These ideas linked beautifully to our current DT challenge of creating a moving toy.

Following the reading, the girls reflected on their own values, noting the people in their lives who help make them strong and resilient. The session was a warm, positive and inspiring start to the morning for all.
