Sixth Form Performing Arts

By Mr Stratton (Director of Drama and Dance)

We are pleased to celebrate the success of one of our Upper Sixth students, Lily Robertson, who has recently completed the Assistant Teacher Award from the Royal Academy of Dance.

This nationally recognised qualification reflects Lily’s commitment and the continued strength of the programme within our school. With two more students expected to complete the course next academic year, the Assistant Teacher Award is becoming an established part of our dance provision.

We are now inviting students to express their interest in joining the next cohort. Those with a genuine enthusiasm for dance and an interest in teaching are encouraged to get involved.

The delivery of this course highlights our ongoing support for Dance and the creative arts. We would also like to thank Mrs D’Arcy (Visiting Dance Teacher), who leads the course in school. She has recently been awarded Excellent Teacher Status by the Royal Academy of Dance, in recognition of her valuable contribution to dance education.

Congratulations to both Lily and Mrs D’Arcy. Their achievements continue to strengthen the future of dance at BGS.
