This week our IB Visual Arts students presented their end-of-year exhibition, showcasing an inspiring and diverse body of work developed over the course of the programme. The exhibition featured pieces by Upper Sixth students Ruva Maposa and Ella Gentle, reflecting a wide range of themes, including explorations of identity and sense of self, responses to landscape, and powerful interpretations of environmental issues such as drought.
Students demonstrated impressive versatility in their approaches, working across a variety of media including screen printing, lino printing, ceramics, collage, sculpture, and video installation. Each piece revealed not only technical skill but also thoughtful conceptual development and a willingness to take creative risks.
We have been truly impressed by the work our students have produced. Their commitment, creativity, and determination have been evident throughout the process, culminating in an exhibition that celebrates both individual voice and artistic growth.
Congratulations to all involved on such an outstanding achievement.
