Senior School Netball

We are thrilled to share that Year 9 athlete, Emily Elphick, has been selected for the U15 Loughborough Lightning Netball Academy.

Emily has been a key player for MK Dons Netball Club over the past two years, competing across the South Region with fixtures stretching as far as Brighton. This season has been particularly successful, with her U14 team crowned league champions. Their victory secures them a place at the National Finals in Sheffield later this month, where they will compete against the top 18 clubs in the country.

Her recent selection for the prestigious Loughborough Lightning pathway is equally impressive, having secured one of just 18 places from a trial group of over 150 athletes. This recognition places Emily among the most promising young netballers in the region.

Emily’s sporting talents extend well beyond the netball court. She is also an accomplished track and field athlete and currently holds the Bedfordshire county record in javelin with an exceptional throw of 38.91m. Earlier this year, she achieved further success by winning bronze at the England Long Throws Championships.

We wish Emily every success in her netball and athletics journeys.
