We are incredibly proud of talented lacrosse players Lottie Tillison (Year 8) and Emily Perry (Year 7), who have been selected for the England Lacrosse Aspire athlete development programme.
Each year, BGS nominates students to attend the Girls’ U13 and U14 Lacrosse County Academy assessment weekends. These full-day sessions, held across the UK in April, are the first step for young athletes on the England Lacrosse pathway.
Following the assessment weekend on 25th and 26th April, Lottie and Emily were both identified as players with strong potential and have been invited to join the Aspire programme at Regional Academy level.
At this stage, athletes aged 13 to 18 take part in a structured development programme, including training weekends across the summer, autumn and winter, as well as an April tournament. The programme focuses on developing tactical understanding and technical skills, alongside physical conditioning, nutrition and mental resilience. Players also receive detailed feedback and individual development plans to support their progress.
We are incredibly proud of Lottie and Emily and look forward to following their continued success.
