By Miss Dawson (Head of Year 8)
As another successful academic year draws to a close, it was a pleasure to celebrate the achievements of our Year 8 students with a well-deserved reward trip to Box End Park. This annual event recognised the hard work, resilience and positive attitude that our students have demonstrated throughout the year.
From the moment we arrived, there was an air of excitement as students took on the inflatable obstacle course, tackling climbing walls, slides, balance beams and splash zones with enthusiasm and determination. There were plenty of laughs, a lot of unexpected swims and countless examples of students encouraging one another to persevere through the more challenging sections of the course. It was wonderful to see friendships strengthened and confidence grow as students stepped outside their comfort zones.
For those looking for a different challenge, a group of students enjoyed completing the frisbee golf course. Demonstrating excellent teamwork, patience and perseverance, they navigated each hole with determination. It was fantastic to see students encouraging one another, celebrating successful throws and embracing the friendly competition. Their positive attitude and sportsmanship reflected the values they have shown throughout the year.
This trip was about more than just having fun. It was a chance to celebrate the qualities that have defined our Year 8 cohort this year. Whether overcoming academic challenges, showing kindness to others or demonstrating resilience in the face of setbacks, our students have consistently impressed us with their maturity and commitment. They should be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved.
