By Mrs Baker (Year 5 Teacher)
We are delighted to celebrate the successful launch of a new student-run stationery shop by our Year 5 Young Enterprise pupils.
Having identified a demand for affordable, everyday stationery items within school, the children worked together to plan and organise the initiative. The shop currently runs during Wednesday breaktimes and sells useful classroom essentials such as pens, pencils, rulers and glue sticks.
The launch has already proved extremely popular, and the pupils have approached the challenge with great enthusiasm, organisation and maturity. They are already beginning to consider whether additional opening days may be needed in the future.
The girls took responsibility for pricing, budgeting, organisation and customer service, developing valuable skills beyond the classroom. The initiative reflects the many opportunities we provide to challenge and extend pupils through meaningful, real-life learning experiences.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity, initiative and teamwork shown by the Year 5 Young Enterprise team.
