By Mrs Baker (Year 5 Teacher)
On Friday 19th June, Year 6 enjoyed an inspiring Gospel Singing Day led by a visiting workshop leader. Throughout the day, the girls immersed themselves in the rich traditions of gospel music, embracing its energy, rhythm and uplifting spirit.
As the workshop progressed, the girls developed not only their vocal skills but also the confidence to perform with expression, conviction and joy. Through a series of engaging activities, they discovered the importance of listening carefully to one another, responding as an ensemble and communicating with their audience.
The day culminated in a vibrant performance for parents, featuring a selection of songs from around the world. The girls' enthusiasm was unmistakable, creating an atmosphere of celebration that was shared by performers and audience alike.
It was a memorable experience that demonstrated the power of music to bring people together, build confidence and create lasting memories.
