Despite the heat, we were pleased to host a shorter version of the Junior Tennis Championships. 

Play started at 8.30am in slightly cooler temperatures and a 10.30am presentation, before the 30-degree heat kicked in, enabled us to play timed tie beaks throughout.

Mrs Mason-McLeod (Director of Sport) praised all the competitors on their sportsmanship and friendliness towards each other during their matches and there was some excellent tennis being played across all 4 age groups. 

Mrs Gibson presented the trophies to the winners and runners up and, we were delighted to welcome our Chair of Governors Fleur Bassett (Surgeon Rear Admiral Fleur Marshall FRCGP FCIPD MA), who kindly cheered on the players.

Our thanks to all the Year 7 and 8’s who came in to help umpire and thanks also to Greens for providing us with delicious strawberry cupcakes and much needed cold drinks for the competitors.
