Junior School

By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 5)

During Neurodiversity Celebration Week, the Junior School explored and celebrated the many ways we think and learn. Through a whole-school assembly, the girls were introduced to the idea that no two brains work in the same way.

They heard from Sixth Form students who shared their own lived experiences of neurodiversity with honesty and courage, helping to deepen understanding and challenge misconceptions. Their reflections highlighted not only the challenges they have faced, but also the many strengths that come from thinking differently.

In form times, girls have reflected on their own unique qualities by creating a display of hands, each one celebrating what makes them individual. Together, this formed a powerful reminder that our differences are something to value.

The week reinforced an important message; when we show kindness, understanding and acceptance, everyone feels they belong and can thrive.
