Senior School Lacrosse

By Mrs Mason-McLeod (Director of Sport)

Saturday 17th January marked an exciting start to the Spring Term as 10 lacrosse matches kicked off our season at the wonderful Cople Fields, making full use of our five full-size lacrosse pitches. Remarkably, this was only our third block lacrosse fixture of the academic year, making the scale and energy of the morning even more special.

We opened our fixtures against a strong Putney High School side, with matches played across all age groups. There were some excellent performances, particularly from our junior teams, who demonstrated confidence, composure, and attacking flair early in the season. The U12s and U13s swept the board with their impressive play. Special mention to the U12Bs for their 21-2 win.

Unfortunately the senior results did not fall our way, the matches provided valuable early season learning opportunities, with plenty of positives to build on as teams develop combinations, fitness, and match sharpness.

A huge thank you to our wonderful catering team, who helped make the morning extra special by supplying all players with a warm stroop waffle, and keeping spectators fueled with hot drinks and breakfast rolls throughout the morning. Their support added greatly to the welcoming and vibrant atmosphere at Cople Fields.

We are now excited to welcome North London Collegiate School this weekend, once again at Cople Fields.
