Year 10 GCSE Fine Art students enjoyed a highly successful and engaging printing workshop on Friday 16th January, spending the day immersed in practical making and creative exploration.
Students worked on etchings inspired by the still-life compositions of Morandi, and created expressive lino cuts influenced by the distinctive style of Crooke. Throughout the workshop, students refined these printing techniques, built their confidence in using specialist equipment and materials, and developed their understanding of printmaking processes.
The day provided an excellent opportunity for students to deepen their ideas and generate high-quality evidence for their GCSE coursework. Students approached the tasks with enthusiasm and focus, clearly enjoying the opportunity to work in a different way and seeing their ideas develop through experimentation.
The workshop produced some super-quality outcomes and was a thoroughly enjoyable and valuable experience for all involved.
