Our Year 3 girls performed their Christmas play, What on Earth Is Christmas?, to parents on Thursday evening, and it was a truly memorable occasion.
This entertaining Christmas musical follows a group of characters observing life on Earth from afar as they try to understand our festive customs. It celebrates the traditions that bring people together at this time of year and reminds us of the values that lie at the heart of the season.
The girls embraced the challenge with energy, performing and singing with genuine enjoyment. The songs were full of joy and their smiles made it clear how much they were enjoying their time together on stage.
The performance was the culmination of many hours of rehearsing and choreographing, all of which came together to create a wonderful show for everyone lucky enough to see it. Both Mrs Whomsley and I were incredibly proud of the girls, they could not have given more in their acting, singing and dancing. Their hard work and spirit shone through in every moment.
This really was a huge team effort with extra thanks to Mrs Inkson for creating the lighting, Mrs Parsons and Mrs Jones for rehearsing the songs and Miss Bream for the dance choreography. Also to Ms Alarcon, Mrs Baker and Mrs Thomas for their help with props and helping the girls off-stage. Finally thanks to Mrs Martin for creating such beautiful backdrops for each scene.
