Junior School

By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 5)

Before half term, our WonderGirls took part in a hands-on challenge all about responsibility, and learned that taking care of the little things can make a big difference.

Armed with brushes, polish, and plenty of ‘elbow grease’, the girls became true Shoeshine Heroes as they set to work cleaning and shining their school shoes. The group discussed why keeping shoes clean matters, not just for appearance, but as a sign of respect for themselves, their school, and the people who help them each day. They learned that when we care for our belongings, we’re showing that we can be trusted with bigger responsibilities too.

Each WonderGirl earned her Responsibility Badge for showing focus, care, and effort, and for proving that even small acts can reflect a big sense of pride.

Their shoes, and their sense of responsibility, are now shining brighter than ever!
