On Thursday 3rd July, eight Lower Sixth students enjoyed a fantastic day out at Wimbledon with Court 2 tickets, soaking up the sunshine and atmosphere, which was the perfect way to round off their tennis season.
They watched some brilliant matches, including Alex de Minaur’s tense four-set win over Arthur Cazaux and Ben Shelton’s exciting match against Rinky Hijikata, both packed with impressive rallies and tight games that kept everyone hooked. They also saw top women’s action with Barbora Krejčíková battling past Caroline Dolehide in three sets, and Jéssica Bouzas Maneiro securing a confident straight sets win against Sofia Kenin.
Our students loved celebrity spotting around the grounds, with two of them even getting a photo with former England footballer, Peter Crouch, which was a real highlight.
With the wonderful weather, world-class tennis and fun moments throughout the day, it was a truly memorable trip and a lovely way for our Lower Sixth to finish their tennis season together.
