This week in Eco Club, we were delighted to welcome our new Eco Reps for the summer term and what better way to begin than by making the most of the glorious sunshine! Our beautiful school garden provided the perfect setting for a calm and creative lunchtime session, where we took time to slow down, soak up the surroundings, and connect with nature through art.
Equipped with iPads, our Eco Club members explored the garden, capturing photographs of the early summer flower, buzzing insects, leafy trees, and all the colourful signs of seasonal change. These snapshots then became the starting point for digital artwork, as the pupils used a variety of creative apps to edit, enhance, and build upon their images. The activity was a fantastic way to combine technology with the natural world, encouraging the girls to look closely, think creatively, and appreciate the beauty around them.
It was a peaceful and inspiring session, a perfect introduction to our Eco Club and a reminder of the joy that can come from spending time outdoors.
