By Mrs Schofield (Head of Years 3 and 4)
Our Year 4 girls recently enjoyed an unforgettable residential experience at Grafham Water on Wednesday 13th May to Friday 15th May, where they embraced every challenge with courage and positivity. Throughout the trip, the girls supported one another brilliantly, encouraging friends to face fears, try new activities, and step outside their comfort zones.
From sailing and canoeing in the wind and rain to the exciting crate stacking activity and the mysterious Grafham Challenge, the girls displayed great resilience. Even when conditions were difficult, they remained cheerful and encouraging, showing fantastic perseverance and teamwork throughout.
The girls also took part in archery and orienteering, where they demonstrated excellent communication skills, cooperation, and problem-solving. Staff were especially impressed by the kindness and respect the girls showed towards one another, as well as the outstanding manners they displayed throughout the trip.
It was wonderful to see so many girls grow in confidence, support their peers, and celebrate each other’s successes. The entire staff team were incredibly proud of the Year 4 girls for their positivity and the caring team spirit they showed every step of the way. Well done Year 4!
