Junior School Swimming

By Miss Gray (Head of Years 10 and 11)

Our Years 5 and Year 6 junior swimming team delivered an outstanding performance at the ESSA Primary Team Relay Regional Round on Friday 20th March, finishing in an impressive second place overall while securing qualification for the National Finals as the top team representing the East region.

The team competed against a strong field of schools from across the East region, South East and London, demonstrating excellent teamwork, determination and skill in the pool. Each swimmer played a vital role in the relay events, contributing to a series of strong performances with Personal Bests achieved by all..

Although the team narrowly missed out on the regional title, their combined times placed them as the fastest qualifying school from the East region, earning them a place at the ESSA Primary Team Relay National Finals.

Their qualification for the national stage is a fantastic accomplishment for both the swimmers and the school and reflects the dedication the swimmers have shown in training and competition.

We wish the team the very best of luck as they prepare to represent the East region at the National Finals later in the Summer term.
