Junior School Digital

By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 5)

This week in PSHE, our Year 5 pupils explored the important theme of digital wellbeing and what it means to have a healthy relationship with technology. In tune with the ever-evolving digital world around them, the girls engaged in thoughtful discussions about how technology can both enhance and challenge our wellbeing.

As a technologically forward-thinking school, our focus is not on limiting access, but on empowering pupils to use digital tools responsibly, safely and with balance.

The girls explored the difference between healthy and unhealthy online habits, considering the impact of screen time on mood, sleep and self-esteem, as well as the pressures that can arise from comparison in digital spaces.

It was a pleasure to see such maturity and self-awareness as they reflected on their own habits, developing the skills needed to navigate the digital world with confidence, resilience and care.
