It has been a truly outstanding lacrosse season for our Year 7 students, and what better way to celebrate their progress and enthusiasm than by inviting families into school to share in the experience.
Our recent Teach Your Parent Lacrosse event was a wonderful success, bringing together nearly 60 participants, including students, parents, grandparents, and siblings. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the connection between home and school through a fun and active experience.
The session began with students taking the lead, teaching their parents the basic lacrosse skills they have developed throughout the season. It was a joy to see the confidence of our students as they stepped into the role of coach, guiding their families with patience and enthusiasm. This was followed by small-sided games, where everyone had the chance to put their new skills into practice.
The atmosphere throughout the event was incredibly joyful. It was particularly special to see families learning together, supporting one another, and sharing plenty of laughter along the way. The students loved the opportunity to teach and showcase their skills, while many parents thoroughly enjoyed the experience, some even leaving inspired to purchase their own lacrosse sticks to continue playing at home!
It was a fantastic way to celebrate the season.
