Senior School Hockey

We are incredibly proud of our U13 Hockey Cup squad who represented the school superbly in the ISHC National Plate Quarter Final, playing some excellent hockey at home against RGS Worcester this week.

Over the past 12 weeks, the squad has shown great determination and teamwork, competing in multiple fixtures and knocking out strong opposition including Swanbourne and Solihull to reach this stage of the competition. Their hard work and commitment were clear to see in what was a high-quality and fast-paced match.

The team made a fantastic start, taking an early 1-0 lead in the first half and putting RGS Worcester under real pressure. Despite a spirited performance throughout, RGS Worcester fought back in the second half to finish the game 1-5.

The students should be extremely proud of their achievements and the way they conducted themselves both on and off the pitch.

Miss Upham (PE Teacher) said: “The players have shown incredible resilience and teamwork throughout the competition. Reaching the national quarter final is a huge achievement and they should all be very proud of the progress they’ve made this season.”

We wish RGS Worcester the very best of luck for finals day!
