By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 5)

WonderGirls club launched this week learning about the little things that make a big difference.

From polishing shoes until they shine, to sewing on a button, planning a budget, setting a table, or even deciding which five items you’d take if stranded on a desert island (!), the girls are discovering that life skills are not only useful, they’re fun, too.

Each week, WonderGirls will spend twenty minutes developing confidence, independence, and teamwork through hands-on challenges. Along the way, they’re earning colourful badges in true Brownie-style to celebrate their achievements, from becoming a “Shoe Shine Hero” to a “Safety First Aider.”

Why is this important? Because life skills help our pupils grow into young people who are ready for the adventures of life, able to problem-solve, take responsibility, and look after themselves and others.
