This week’s Reading Breakfast brought a buzz of excitement as girls and parents gathered to explore the hidden heroes of the farm, insects! With the theme, Every Creature Counts, we shared stories and conversations about how even the smallest creatures, like bees, ladybirds, and ants, play a vital role in helping crops grow and keeping farm ecosystems in balance.
After our shared reading session, the girls took part in a creative drawing challenge: designing a dream habitat for a helpful farm insect. Together, they thought about what their insect needed to survive and how it supported the wider farm environment. It was wonderful to see the girls’ making connections, asking thoughtful questions, and proudly sharing their ideas about interdependence on an arable farm.
The penultimate Reading Breakfast celebrating reading, creativity and the power of working together, no matter how small you are!
