A small group of athletes from Years 4 and 5 travelled to Wilberforce Road Sports Ground in Cambridge on Tuesday to compete in the East Anglian Prep Schools’ Athletics Southern Area Championships.

There were strong performances across the day. Shanaya  placed first in the U10 rounders ball throw, while Imogen secured second place in the U11 800m. In the U11 200m final, Lily finished in fifth place.

Also representing BGS were Abigail U10 600m), Anetta (U10 long jump), Zoe (U10 75m), and Poppy (U10 100m). Jess took part in both the U11 rounders ball and 100m events.

The girls showed great focus throughout and it was a pleasure to see them enjoying the experience of competing at this level.
