Junior School

By Mrs Crawford-Smith (IB PYP Coordinator)

On Thursday, Year 5 took part in our regular joint activity morning with Bedford Prep School (BPS). Half of our pupils visited BPS, whilst the other half welcomed their Year 5 boys to the Junior School. The event gave the opportunity to build collaboration, encourage problem solving, and strengthen social and teamwork skills.

Throughout the morning, pupils enjoyed an exciting range of challenges including virtual and augmented reality experiences, interactive treasure hunts, and group problem-solving games. These activities not only stretched their thinking but also gave them the opportunity to make new friends and build confidence in unfamiliar settings.

The highlight for many was the chance to connect with children from another school. As Shreya said, “It was really fun to make new friends.” Emma agreed, saying, “Meeting new friends and working together was really exciting.” Harriet added, “I got to meet new people and see my old friends too.”

The morning was a wonderful success, and we look forward to more joint learning opportunities that inspire curiosity, friendship, and teamwork.
