By Mrs Reilly (Year 5 Teacher)
Year 5 enjoyed an exciting day of filmmaking at the Warner Brothers Studio Tour on Friday 16th May. The girls stepped onto authentic sets, explored special effects and uncovered some of the secrets behind the making of the Harry Potter film series.
During their visit, they explored the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall, ventured into the Forbidden Forest and visited Platform 9 ¾, home to the original Hogwarts Express.
A highlight of the day was trying out a spot of Quidditch, with plenty of laughter and a photo souvenir to remember the moment.
Olive and Nolah (5W): “It was really magical and fun to see the sets and how the films are made as well as being able to see the props and costumes.”
Miranda (5CS): “I loved the video of how they made the injuries and how they created the animation. It was really cool!”
Darcey (5I): “I loved that most of the things were from the actual movie sets! They were crazy realistic!”
Jess (5BR): “It was amazing because we got to see all the sets and how they made each scene."
The visit offered a fascinating glimpse into the world of creative production and inspired plenty of curiosity about what happens behind the scenes. It was a truly memorable day for our Year 5 girls.
