Junior School

By Miss Coote (Year 6 Teacher)

Year 6 enjoyed hosting pupils from Bedford Prep School on Monday morning for our annual Internet Safety event.

During the session, pupils explored the topic of Deepfake technology and learned how to spot misleading or manipulated content online. In group discussions, Ava (6I) highlighted how problematic it is. She explained: “AI is getting better and better and making things realistic - it is a big problem!”

They also worked collaboratively to design their own internet safety campaigns before taking part in an engaging drama workshop that explored a range of real-life e-safety scenarios young people may encounter.

It was a fantastic morning of learning and collaboration, with our Year 6 pupils demonstrating the qualities of communicators and thinkers as they shared ideas, reflected on responsible online behaviour, and worked together to promote safer use of the internet. Maddie (6BC) said: “It was a lovely opportunity to work with the boy’s school too!”
