Our Upper Sixth Form students continue to look ahead to opportunities not only in the UK but around the world as they plan the next stage of their education.

We are pleased to share that our Sports Captain, Lucy, has gained a field hockey scholarship to Bryant University in Rhode Island, USA where she will study Business.

Lucy secured this opportunity with the support of US Sports Scholarships. The scholarship provides funding for her to complete a degree and play field hockey in Division 1 of the NCAA over a four-year programme.

Lucy reflected: “At the beginning of my process, I was delighted to be accepted onto the US Sports Scholarship Programme. US Sports Scholarships have been a huge part of my journey, guiding me through every step. After speaking to a few universities on video calls and getting to know many different coaches, Bryant got in contact with me.

“Following several conversations with Coach Kellie, I felt something was special about this university. Within a few weeks I had committed, just like that I knew I was off to America for the next four years. Then heading over to Rhode Island in September, made me realise how excited I was. Everything about the campus was just as I imagined.

“Signing for Bryant University is such an incredible feeling. I am so grateful for my parents, teachers, coaches, friends and the members of US Sports Scholarships; they have gotten me to where I am today, and I wouldn't be here without them!”
