On Sunday 28th September, BGS competed in the British Schoolgirls' Indoor Race organised by the Ladies Ski Club at Snozone, Milton Keynes. The team consisted of Bo (Year 8), Evie (Year 9) and Lucy (Year 11).

All three raced in the individual slalom over two runs, with a standout performance from Bo, who secured 6th place in the Under 14 (Unregistered Category).

After lunch, the team took part in the dual slalom, where they powered their way into the quarter finals before tiredness and the cold set in.

I would like to extend my congratulations to the team for showing the BGS value of BOLD. For two of the skiers this was their first time racing gates, and for all three it was their first competitive race. The way they supported each other throughout the day spoke volumes about their character. Well done.

Bo reflected: “I really enjoyed the ski race on Sunday. It was my first time racing, and it was a very fun experience. Though none of us won anything, it was definitely worth it, and I think that all the participants were amazing skiers.”
