By Mrs Schofield (Head of Years 3 and 4)
On Tuesday, the Year 3 and 4 girls enjoyed an engaging session with our Catering Manager, Mrs Tombs, who spoke to them about the importance of healthy eating.
With the help of her colourful character, Robbie Rainbow, Mrs Tombs explained how eating a wide variety of foods in different colours helps us to get the nutrients we need to stay healthy and grow strong. The girls joined in with enthusiasm, sharing examples of their own favourite fruits and vegetables, and learning how each colour group supports the body in different ways.
They were particularly fascinated to discover that purple foods are linked to brain health, which sparked lots of conversation and curiosity. This lively and interactive talk has helped the girls to think more carefully about the food choices they make each day, and it formed a wonderful addition to their ongoing learning about balanced lifestyles.
