By Mrs Martin (Head of Year 3)
Last week, Year 3 embarked on an unforgettable residential trip to the historic St Briavels Castle. From the moment we set off, the excitement was palpable, our adventure had begun!
Each day was packed with exploration, teamwork, and stories that brought the castle’s rich history to life. Our girls took on challenges with courage and curiosity, from canoeing in the Wye Valley, archery, and orienteering through ancient woodland. They solved riddles, hunted for clues, and worked together to conquer problem-solving tasks in the castle grounds and beyond.
One of the most magical highlights was our campfire songs and storytelling session with John, who held the entire group spellbound with tales that connected us to the spirit of the castle and the people who once lived there. His stories ignited imaginations and helped us see our surroundings in a new light. Evenings were filled with laughter, reflection, and the joy of simply being together.
This trip wasn’t just about the activities, it was about learning independence, building friendships, and discovering what we’re capable of when we step outside our comfort zones. It truly was an epic adventure, one that will stay with us for a long time.
