Saturday 20th November saw the return of the English School Swimming Association (ESSA) National Secondary School Team Relay Championships after a 2-year break.

The senior freestyle team featuring Isabel Jones (Upper Sixth), Lulu Donaghy (Lower Sixth), Annabel Mullooly (Lower Sixth) and Lucy Young (Year 11) travelled to the London Aquatic centre – the pool used in the London 2012 Olympic Games. All the students raced extremely well and the team were able to finish in 13th position, which is a great achievement.

The senior swim team are now looking forward to the Warwick 100’s event, which is a fantastic event for BGS swimmers next term.
