By Mrs Baker (Year 6 Teacher)
Last month, our talented Year 6 writers took part in the BBC 500 Words competition, joining tens of thousands of young writers from across the country. Our pupils worked incredibly hard to craft imaginative, original and truly fantastic stories - tales filled with surprising twists, vivid characters and powerful ideas.
We are absolutely delighted to announce that two of our pupils - Grace J, Sophie B and Amelah Z - have made it through to the next round! This is an outstanding achievement, especially given the huge number of entries received nationally.
The final results will be revealed in January, when the BBC announces the national winners. We will be cheering Grace and Sophie on and celebrating the creativity and dedication shown by all Year 6 writers. Well done, everyone - you have made our school proud.
