On Saturday 7th June, all BGS rowing squads had an enjoyable home regatta hosted by Star Club. Crews compete over a 1200m course in ‘knockout’ style racing.

The regatta was a resounding success, with competitors and spectators alike enjoying a day of racing. Four crews brought home pots- WJ17 2x, WJ18 2x, W 8+ (Band 1), WJ15 8+ - and another four reached their finals - WJ14 2x, W 8+ (Band 2), WJ15 1x of Evie-Rose Wootton, and WJ15 4x+.  

A special mention must go to our Year 9 double of Amelia Fraser and Sahana Stachowiak who raced for the first time in this boat type and won two rounds, before being knocked out in the final. Hopefully a really positive race experience for the pair, and a pleasure to watch from the bank.
