Whole School Alumnae

We are proud to announce another addition to the school’s International Sporting Honours Board.

Last September, Alexis Balladon (née Twigden, BHS 2002) represented Team GB at the IWWF Cable Wakeboard World Championships in Paris and won a Bronze Medal in the Masters Women. Alexis started wakeboarding at age 17 in 2001. She has competed for over two decades, racking up multiple podium finishes, a National Title, and in 2023 a double Silver Podium in the WWA Cable Wake Park World Championships in London.

Alexis is a huge advocate for getting women into wakeboarding: she has hosted Ladies Mornings and Wake Daze for twenty years getting more and more women on the water. She is also a Level 3 Wakeboard Coach with British Water Ski and Wakeboard, and has taken two female athletes to Number 1 in the World Rankings.

Following school Alexis attended the University of Essex, Studying American Studies. Her third year of the course was spent at the University of California, Davis, where she enjoyed plenty of Wakeboarding and honing her skills.

We are looking forward to welcoming Alexis into school later in the year to share her experiences with our aspiring athletes.
