Last Saturday, Inspirational student, Katie Sheehan, participated in the Pretty Muddy 5k Race For Life at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes.
In aid of Cancer Research UK, wearing her brightest pink outfit, Katie crawled, climbed and slid her round a very muddy obstacle course. Katie reflected: “I decided to take part in this because cancer is something that has affected people close to me, and I've seen first-hand how difficult it can be for both those diagnosed and their families.
“Recently I lost my auntie to cancer, so taking part in the race was a way for me to honour her memory while supporting a cause that means a lot to me. I really enjoyed the day, it was a very uplifting environment and everyone was so encouraging. I am hoping to take part in the Race For Life in Northampton early next month.
Katie has raised an incredible £1,760. We are so proud of her for raising that amount while supporting a cause so close to her heart. Well done, Katie.
