Would you like to be involved?
We are looking for some willing volunteers for our fun and informative Year 12 Work The Room Networking Evening on Wednesday 17th June 2026, running from 5.45-6.45pm.
At Bedford Girls’ School,in addition to excellent academic results we look to provide our students with a range of life skills, so that they leave school as confident young women ready for the world ahead. As part of this we run a workshop for our Year 12 students, called Work The Room, an event which focuses on helping the students develop good business networking skills. It is important that the students understand that confident business social networking skills are an important part of making the right impression, helping to secure business relationships and to build networks.
We would love to welcome some “willing volunteers” for the students to try out their new skills and we hope you might be able to help. We ask a number of friends of the school, alumnae and parents to be our guests, to ensure a cross section of professional interests for the students - the more variety the better! It is also a wonderful opportunity for the parents of our younger students to come and meet our Sixth Formers and experience a slice of Sixth Form life in The Hub. If you like to be involved with the evening, please contact Emma MacKenzie in The Alumnae Office at [email protected]
