Monday night saw the launch of our new exciting new alumnae initiative, Bold Beginnings, designed to support and empower our alumnae at different stages of their lives and careers.

On Monday evening night alumna and Talent Director of Real Talent, Michèle Bernat (née Conning, DAHS 1999), hosted our Back to Work for Mums Webinar. This significant topic explored the challenges, opportunities, and choices that come with balancing both a career and family.

Michèle guided the discussion and shared valuable insights on how to navigate this important transition with purpose and confidence. Her expert advice focused on practical strategies and confidence-building interview tips, as well as steering difficult conversations around maternity leave. Michèle talked about the importance of both CVs and LinkedIn profiles and all webinar attendees will have the opportunity to have their CVs and LinkedIn profiles professionally validated by Michèle.

Michèle has a wealth of experience recruiting both in-house and externally, across both the UK and international markets, bringing a unique perspective. Having launched her own successful recruitment business whilst raising a young family, Michèle is ideally placed to provide relatable and expert advice for mums navigating their own return to the workplace.
