We are looking forward to our second CultureFest on Saturday 28 June, 2pm to 4pm, on the BGS Main School Field.
When we hosted our first CultureFest in 2022, the food marquee proved hugely popular, offering an exciting blend of flavours and fragrances from around the world.
This year, in addition to live performances, games and stalls, we are delighted to offer a taste of our community through parent and student-led food demonstrations and tasters. These will provide a window into the cuisine of multiple cultures. You’ll be able to sample delicious food and learn about the ingredients used, you may even be inspired to try a new recipe at home.
As part of CultureFest this month, The Association (PTA) is organising a food demonstration tent. Enticing aromas will draw you inside to experience a variety of dishes being prepared and cooked in front of you. Mini kitchen stations will be set up, where parent and staff volunteers will talk you through each recipe as they prepare their chosen dish.
Cuisines will include dishes from Libyan, Mexican, Pakistani and Lebanese cultures, with samples available to taste throughout the afternoon. Recipe cards will also be available to take home, should you wish to recreate any of the dishes yourself.
We can’t wait to come together as a community to enjoy this special afternoon.
