Congratulations to Sarah Turner (née Bolster, DAHS 1998) who has recently been admitted to the Court of the Worshipful Company of Woolmen, a real honour of recognition in her industry.

Sarah founded the eco-friendly Little Beau Sheep Company in 2015, making handmade laundry and body care products using local Yorkshire wool.  In 2019, she was honoured to receive the Innovation in Wool Award from the Worshipful Company of Woolmen, a moment that not only recognised her work with British wool but also opened the door to an incredible journey ahead and helped build her business further.

Sarah said: “The Court is essentially the governing body of the Company, made up of senior members who help steer its activities and uphold its values. Being invited to join the Court is a mark of recognition, and I’m proud to be helping shape the future of an organisation so rooted in British heritage.”

The Worshipful Company of Woolmen is one of the oldest Livery Companies in the City of London, with roots going back over 850 years. Originally formed to regulate the wool trade (a major part of the British economy at the time), today the Woolmen champion the promotion, support, and innovation of wool and the wider textile industry. They also raise funds for education and charitable causes - keeping tradition alive while supporting the future.
