We're super proud of the young, talented performer, Ava Dymond (Year 5), who, with TheatreTrain Bedford, performed at the Royal Albert Hall this past Sunday.

Over the summer, Ava had been practising her lines, rehearsing her moves and sharpening her vocals as she prepared for her big moment performing at the We're Gonna Change The World event. This was TheatreTrain's 100th large-scale production (their 12th at the iconic Royal Albert Hall) and brought together over 1000 performers aged 4-18 from across the country. The show was devised using ideas gathered from the students and the parents when asked what they think is wrong with the world.

Ava, along with the rest of TheatreTrain Bedford, performed as part of the choir for the first half of the show and then took to the arena for their showcase pieces in the second half. The whole show was touching, thought-provoking, and really showed that young people should have a voice in addressing the big problems faced by us all.

Ava said: 'My favourite part of the show was being tasked with waving a huge flag while walking down the iconic aisle stairs among the audience.”

Ava’s form teacher, Mrs Crawford-Smith who attended the showcase said: “The show was fantastic, it held a very strong, and clear message, Our house is on fire and we need to do something about it. The hard work and commitment of the cast was evident in the high-quality performance and as an audience we came away inspired to make a difference for the future of our planet. I was so proud to go and support Ava who shone!”
